Re: Dog Run information
I think she would find being inside much nicer than being left alone outside. I personally would puppy proof one room in the house, maybe get an old armchair from freecycle or something, and then get a dog walker to come in in the middle of the day. You could spend plenty of time with her in that room so that she feels it's her comfy space, and a dog walker could also make sure she's happy when you're out and give you reassurance.
As well as her mental comfort, I'd be concerned that being outside in the autumn/winter would be cold. Staffies do feel the cold quickly. Leaving a coat on wouldn't be an option for me, there's too great a risk of getting a leg stuck or something.
To be honest, also I think leaving her outside is setting yourself up for barking and problems with the neighbours. Our neighbours' dogs are out when their owners are away and one of them barks for hours and hours. We aren't on the best of terms as a result.

Leaving your dog outdoors also carries the risk of her being stolen, God Forbid.

Re: Dog Run information
My boy is outside if we are both out (OH works from home now so comes & goes if hes not travelling), we have just had a v cold Winter here (for us anyway), he was perfectly fine! Good warm kennel (under cover on deck) with 2 blankets inside, trampoline bed in sunny spot, toys, food & water, treats. We have a big yard so he has plenty to do. In our last place we had a tiny yard and he was destructive but was often alone 10 hours a day several days at a time. I could never have trusted him inside on his own, but each to their own you just have to try a few things i think and see what works well for you both. Its not easy, we are riddled with guilt! Tonnes of play time when we get home and all seems forgiven, hes a very happy well balanced boy IMO. Let us know how you get on.

Re: Dog Run information
Leaving her inside is not an option , there is no room we can Staffy proof, i am very concerned about the cold too so will be very aware to make it right for her , the chicken wire is not a good idea on reflection so we are going with this type instead , he kennel will be well insulated and off the ground on a pallet etc ,if the weather get extra bad we will have to afford a doggy sitter in the house , but thats not an expense i can afford on an ongoing basis .
