Home made doggie toys
Quite a few people on here have made toys for their pets; flirt poles and such, but i wondered what other daft things people have made or improvised?
One thing that kept Spikey boy amused for ages was a toy i made from a large (3ltr) coke bottle.
Basically, with a knife, i cut the top 1/4 off where it curves toward the neck. Then using large scissors i cut an inverted V out of one side and curved the edges off. Then i folded the edges upwards...You end up with a puck, similar to the things you get on the air hockey games you get at the seaside.
The dog can't get their head stuck because the bottle is too large, there are no sharp edges, it can slide along the floor..and even better when they dive on it, it spins off in a random direction!! When walking up to it Spike kept treading on the edge and because it's folded up, it made the toy stand up..he loved it..In fact i had to remove it after a while because he was laying his front paws on it and scooting around the kitchen like a thing possessed!
I'll post a pic up later..
Has anyone else made any daft stuff from rubbish, or packaging etc?

Re: Home made doggie toys
Anything made of cardboard with treats in is an instant hit here. I don't give them plastic bottles as they tend to chew them to bits and I'm concerned they'd then eat them.

Ye olde coke bottle of course but too noisy. Stanley loves an old sock stuffed into another one and looking like an overweight rat and then pulled about, he's in heaven guessing where it's going all the time. He also loves to help me tear up any cardboard boxes etc. for disposal.

Ball in the toe of an old sock then tied in a knot so you can throw it or he can shake it like a rat haha.
Coke bottle with treats inside - but he does tend to shred the bottle.
