Anyone had a dabble

Was thinking about picking up a few cheap bits (Tunnels etc) and knocking toether a couple of jumps etc or the kids this summer. We haven't got 20 acres to run in but I think there's enough space for a bit of stuff

Do it!

If I had a bit more room I'd do it as well - they'll love it!

Tilly loved the agility ehen we did it , some far better behaved and trained dogs there but she did enjoy it , last day of the course we eventually got her to tunnel (she does it under the covers on a daily basis , Tommy hasn't tried it yet

I saw a starter set once on a site. Can't remember what it was called, but it was near the top of Google when searching "agility equipment". £49.95 for enough to get you going.

When the time is right I def will get stuck in. Big Grin

You can get the sets like this....

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kyjen-Dog-Agility-Starter-Kit/dp/B000AAM0GW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1366923803&sr=8-2&keywords=agility+set

Or you can buy each bit seperately.

Yeah, I want to get Loki into this. He did a few ones when he was in puppy classes (no jumps, just tunnels and A-frame and etc.) and he was the fastest one there, all the other puppies were hesitant and Loki had a massive smile on my face Laughing definitely go for it Big Grin

Go for it Dave, you've been threatening for ages!

As you know Roxy loooves it. What put us off was the last time she went the teacher threw her toy and Rox ran off with it, straight to a Great Dane who that day was the most "problem child" at school. So we've been put off until they can enclose the agility section.

However, we did buy the jumps which come with detachable hoop and they love messing about in the garden with it. It's also really good for further obedience training. It wasn't until Rox started obedience that she really got the hang of "stay" Big Grin

With taking a break from going to school we are going to save up for the set so we can include weave polls and tunnel. (We're not handy enough to make it Tongues )

Go for it, I'm sure Tilly and Tommy will have a ball!

Go for it Dave, I bet the kids would love it Laughing

If I had the room we would have something out there for Rocky too. We only have a handkerchief sized garden right now though. Sad

My garden is pretty small too Kathy, big enough for Logan but not big enough for agility. If I was to get the kit I'd just head out to the football pitches near me or an enclosed field. Smile

You can make simple cavaletti jumps for them. Just nail a couple of bits of wood in a X shape and put a bit of wood across the 2 Xs. Big Grin

Go for it Dave. I was going to try Pixee at it, but then we had the problem with her leg/shoulder. I aim to try a few bits in the garden in the summer and see how Pixee goes with it. Let us know when if you do it

It's great. We bought tunnels from ikea and Brutus loves them. No jumping yet as still a bit young, but he moment we pull out the tunnels he goes crazy and starts barking with excitement.
