Tuff Toys from Pets at Home
Bought Logan a new toy last weekend. A piece of nylon rope (black and yellow) with a tennis ball attatched either end. Thought it would be nice to take on walks. Nope.....what a waste of money. It was only 3 quid but he's destroyed it within 3 hours!
The packaging had a 4 out o 5 rating for 'tuffness'. Well, not tuff enough for a staffy!! Dont waste your money!!!

Re: Tuff Toys from Pets at Home
Anything with a tennis ball Blue normally destroys straight away.
I bought him some tennis balls once for a game of fetch. I threw it.......it ran after it.......ate it in 5 seconds...................then ran back to me wanting another treat.
Wouldn't mind but I only took 1 ball and it took us 20 mins to walk there. I thought......yeah well done Blue thats that idea out of the window

I don't even bother with "tough" toys any more, Molly can have a brick as her next toy!

If you get the "indistructable tyre" they last quite a While, don't be me wrong there is only a couple of small bits left but he has had it since about 4 months old! Don't know where we got it from though!! And the big nylon beef bone is lasting well so far!! That's from pets at home!

Nylabones are ok, Molly's not that interested in them. We've avoided the tyres as a friends Lab ripped one of those up, so we decided to avoid those.

Dempsey has a nylabone that he's had now for about 3 months. It's getting quite damaged now & we'll need to replace it soon.
As for the tyre - we bought one from Pets At Home & Dempsey destroyed it in 2 days. I'd buy a proper tyre, but they're too big - I don't have a huge house or huge garden!

Re: Tuff Toys from Pets at Home
All my dogs have had tyres (without the wire through them), put them over the concrete fence post and they pull for hours on them. Hollie's a little bit too young for them at the mo, she prefers her frisbee and kong.
My jeans got a bit ragged so I cut them into strips and plaited them, she loves to chew them as well, (free toys) bargain...

Re: Tuff Toys from Pets at Home
I got a rubber tug toy from the Bull Terrier people at the last show we went to. "Is it bully-proof?" I asks, "Well, mine haven't damaged their one yet, and they've had it for months & months" she says in reply.
Good, I thought, I'll get it. Only £5.99 - worth it if it's as good as she says!
That was a fortnight ago. Dempsey was given it to play with on the sunday & he'd eaten the handle off it by monday. ~

Re: Tuff Toys from Pets at Home
I dont think ive ever had one staffy proof toy.The only thing thats kind of survived is a nylabone, but shes made short work out of those too.She has a lot of soft toys that seem to do ok,but they get shredded to bits when shes on a mad one.I had to buy a sewing kit to keep stitching back together her favorites lol.

Re: Tuff Toys from Pets at Home
Same here. Nylabone is more of a sharp edged nylastick but he has had it for a few months so well worth the £10.
Best thing ever is still the Kong. Used so many times and it's still in perfect condition
