to worm or not to worm?

hi all
i have read so many contradicting stories about worming my pregnant bitch, some say to do it from day 40 with panacur, some say worm her before breeding and not again until 2 weeks after birth , when you worm the pups.
then there are people with the arguement that chemicles and pregnancy do not mix ...
any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i have already asked my vet and she said to give her 10ml a day of panacur 10% , but when i worked it out my bitch would only need 4 ml a day on her weight at 0.25ml per kg, so i am asking what other breeders do.
