Hi we are planning on going camping for a weekend in a couple of weeks in the lake district, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with camping and feeding raw and the best way to store the food? any advice would be helpful

thank you Smile

I camp with the guys when we are at races but that is mainly in the winter so we have no issue keeping things cold lol. a cool box should be enough I guess but if your going out for any amount of time and need a few meals your prob best finding a butcher local to the camp site before hand and sorting something out just so you know you have a consistent source of food. otherwise you can buy a load of natures menu packs and keep topping a cool box with ice.

If I'm away for a couple of days I'll take frozen minces wrapped in lots of plastic bags and Tupperware and in a cool bag. They stay frozen for a surprisingly long time. If longer than that I usually make sure I have a few cans of sardines handy.

Same advice as above either a cooler or some prepacked meals that don't need to stay cold.

Okay thanks for the advice everyone, she's on natures menu, will take a cool box and keep topping it up with ice, was worried as it will most probably be warm, thanks everyone Smile
