Cool How many dog's enjoy going camping?

Post by KarrieBabe+Torrez Sat Jun 22 2013, 11:44

Torrez loves camping, we always go wild camping, like it better, more freedom for us and great freedom for Torrez. I am going to download a thing for lap-top so I can put pic's on - sorry about that.

Haven't had a chance to take Chiquito camping yet .. there are lots of members who do go camping with their dogs though! Wild camping sounds like a lot of fun Smile

we still need to get out with the tent yet , Tilly did 1 trip in the caravan before we got rid and loved it , took our old BC x camping and he loved it only problem was the campsite owner had a young Dalmatian that used to wander round free and get in all the dogs faces , he didn't love that Sad

Went out in the caravan with Ledger for the first time last week and he loved it, he just wouldn't settle when I sat outside with him for some reason. Don't know if I would risk him in a tent I'd worry he would nuzzle or eat his way out in the night as he is quite sensitive to strange noises, at least in the van he could sit in the window and be nosy Big Grin

I must admit I've had similar thoughts about Tommy who randomly jumps up and starts barking through the night (scaring the sh** out of me in the process) as he seems to have heard a pin drop somewhere, could be quite embarrassing and a source of complaint. Have no doubt Tilly wouldn't want to leave the confines of the sleeping bag Big Grin

We've still got most of our camping gear (light duty stuff , family camping) as we used to do it before we go the caravan , when we flogged the van we kept anything that we sould use for the camping but just not got back into it yet

Hubby and me used to do quite a bit of walking and camping, not able to go now due to back and other injuries.

Had some great times in the Lake District and the Peak District. Still have all the gear and not enough space for it though. We ended up giving one of tents to my brother so he could take his lad out at the weekends.

Sonic loves camping, we have a trailer tent with a huge awning and she makes herself right at home! As much as i like the idea of wild camping don't think i could cope without my electric blanket, heater, George forman and running water lol
