Random requests

Does anyone else have a staff that asks for things?
Katy will ask me when she wants to go out for a tiddle by gruffing at me from the doorway. When I get up she runs for the door. Great
Sometimes she will gruff & I get up to let her out but she doesn't move, so we have to go through the what do you want (bark) no clue so I try well show me (bark). It doesn't work till I say show me with my arms out, then she will go & look at what she wants
7.30 Sunday morning she wanted an apple out of the fruit bowl, fine by me but why did she decide she needed one then She asked for one last night too She does have to dance around them for a bit before eating them

Haha well when Marley was at the vets for a few days when he came home he wouldn't drink out of his bowl so put it in a tall cup, now 2 weeks on he still drinks from a cup he will stand by the sink when he wants a drink and sort of talk haha, it also has to be a fresh glass everytime he wants one

Yes mia asks for biscuits jen if i dnt know what she wants (i always do) she runs to the treat cupboards and ruffs if that doesn't work she howls twice. If mia wants the loo she sometimes sits at the door and ruffs or looks at her lead and collar then my jacket theyre so clever mia can spell biscuit and count to 5 too .

This is amazing!! I wish Bane did it, he just stares at you with big eyes then gets all excited starts barking, has a fit of zoomies and then I guess he's forgotten what he wants by that time

Oh Emma Koda goes to the door and sits down, not a single sound but I feel his eyes piercing me & when I walk over to him he gives me his paw it's so cute. His toy box is on the floor inside our pantry, if the doors are shut (more often than not!) he sits in front of the fridge & fidgets til I get up then he races to the pantry to let me know what's what he wants. When his toy slides underneath the lounge he stands on the back of the lounge looking over the edge until I get it out for him ! Little bugger

Nita has one mode. Stand in front of me and stare. So it becomes a guessing game as to what she wants. She doesn't give any clues so it can be anything from toilet, toys, food, water, play, walk, being lap dog etc etc.

No matter what I say to her, its just a stare.

Flo will go to the back door if she needs to go out. If she wants a treat she'll sit in the kitchen and stare between you and the treat box so no guessing needed there and as for the sofa, well, she owns that and simply takes any position she wants

Aww bless u flo and koda ive spoiled mia treat wise from the beginning limited amounts . When i first got her was a guessing game through time i realised and made things difficult thats how mia knows how to spell biscuit now

Rio gruffs at night and then you know it's a "toilet" noise, rather than him having heard something and he yodels at you when he wants to play they really are quite clever fuzzy things

I have another one I forgot to tell you all, when ever I'm brushing my hair Marley always sits on my feet and watches me. But recently he's been barking and jumping up when I'm doing it, so I asked him what do you want? And he will give me a little talk so I said what you want to be brushed? Well wait your turn so he sits down patiently then I have to brush him and he sits there loving life so I thought I'd buy him his own brush! Nope doesn't like his own brush it has to be mine

LOL bless him could be hes seeing you relaxed and thats more what he likes he may also wonder what the brush is for . Brushing your dog everyday is ideal for bonding with them . It also helped me detect a minute lump which turned out to be fine that i never felt with my hand

sash will ruff and do a little trot on the spot dance when she wants treats,she's so naughty

Katy also has another trick, when we are eating something that she wants we ask her if she wants some. She will sit then back up & sit, if we keep asking her she will back up & sit all the way across the living room floor She does make us laugh

well mia goes to the other room when i eat as she knows i hate when she stares and she still gets praise if she doesnt peek round the door during my dinner she peeks round the door she knows she doesnt get a treat . at times if i let her lie at the bottom of my bed ill pretend to eat look at her shes been looking at me then she quickly looks away . shes a wee character .
