Hi all, looking to go somewhere with Zeus and the rest of the family in July for a few days.. wanting to know other peoples experiences and where they would recommend to go for a short break (preferably in a cottage/cabin).

I've already been to Cornwall but I'm open to anywhere really... Isle of Wight maybe?

Thanks!

If your looking south way I can recommend this place http://golden-acre.com/

Great area with some fab walks (You don't have to climb the hills). The Main accomadation is OK not 5* but more than adequate. I also stayed in a pub in the Village of Lullworth with Flo which was great too. I think theres a link in the Dog Friendly pub section here Smile

Booked a cottage in the Forest of Dean and loved the area. Some great walks (and pubs) but some flippin big hills too, but you can avoid those or cheat and use the car to get to the top like we did Laughing

We camped in the Brecon Beacons in Wales for 3 nights in April and absolutely loved it! Easily walked 10 miles a day and rarely saw a sole! I live on Dartmoor and can also recommend it here Smile though it can be busy!
