Holiday!! Where??
So where to go on holiday this year?
I go away every year abroad and I cant decide where? I'm going somewhere South America next year maybe brazil but this year I'm gonna stay in Europe.
I think it's a toss up between Egypt and Italy.
Anyone got any recommendations??
Don't say anywhere in Greece or Spain as I've done them way too many times lol.

Re: Holiday!! Where??
If its a toss up between egypt or italy i would go for italy every time. Egypt is hard to handle. Lovely to see, yes, but not for any amount of time. You would have to travel it to see just Luxor and Cairo. Same with Italy really, but you can actually spend a week in Rome if you're into sights etc and you can get a day trip to Florence from Rome. You just wouldn't want to spend any time in one place in Egypt, so a river cruise is the best way for that.

Nothing to exotic for us probably back to the Gower! Take my boy and have a nice relaxing time! been to Maldives, America, and thats enough flying for me like my feet on Terra Firma these days!

Re: Holiday!! Where??
Well I've done France, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Greece and all the Greek islands but only passed through Italy. Egypt seems cheap, hot and beautiful.
I did Devon last year with Ramsey and I probably will again this year but still need a proper holiday abroad.

If you got * off in turkey at the sellers, egypt is worse. Its dustier, less tourist orientated and the violence can get very scary.
Rome will be iconic at the moment.

Re: Holiday!! Where??
I probably would've chosen Italy myself, I was going to go a couple of years back. Suppose where you go depends on what you want to go for though.

sun, beach and shissle, don't go to egypt.
if you're looking for that, the only place really is the Caribbean.

Definately Italy over Egypt. There are also tons of great vacation spots in Asia like Japan, Thailand and Malaysia

Re: Holiday!! Where??
I have never been to Egypt or Italy...My daughter went to Northern Italy with the guides and said it was stunning but expensive.
I have only been to Cyprus ,Tenerife and Spain myself in Europe ...and they were more package holidays than site seeing. We tend to just go to the caravan in Anglesey and abroad every few yrs.
My Mum went to egypt in August and she loves the sun but she said it was unbearable heat.
Have fun wherever you decide

Proper dog owners holiday!
We don't really have dog friendly anything over here. But there's something about sitting drunk on a deck chair that is very appealing to me

Of all of the places I have been last years holiday with Vinnie in our lovely rented cottage, was the best holiday I have ever had! and the scenery was stunning. We did have an exceptional week weather wise though for November!EllieSmith wrote:MatLogan wrote:EllieSmith wrote:I may do the same this year Mat!

I rented a cottage with my last dog a good while back and it was really good.
I've done a music festival for the last 4 summers, this will be the first year I do without.

Ah well if you find somewhere quiet enough you can still play your music, and without the mud!!MatLogan wrote:I rented a cottage with my last dog a good while back and it was really good.

I agree Steve, I'm a home bird too. I've left the country a few times and hated it. I like the fact that I know where everything is here. Simple life is good enough for me.

I don't like living in this country tbh.. It's too cold and it's gone to waste

Re: Holiday!! Where??
I love this country I just don't like the people in it (not all of them Hayley ). It's beautiful when you get out of the cities and a lot of nice places to go.
If I could I'd do a population transplant
