Sulking

We have a rule in our house that stipulates at certain times our 5 year old must leave pepper alone, for example when eating or if she's taken herself off to her crate. We want to teach her to respect the fact that sometimes dogs need to be left alone, by the same token we also want our daughter to have a "safe place" to go to when the joys of a puppy get a bit overwhelming, so from day one we told our daughter, if you need space go to your bedroom and close the door, because it's also important for us that pepper learn to respect our daughter.

So today, after a long day at school and gym practice, peppers mad half hour was a little bit too exuberanting for our little girl, so as taught she took herself to her bedroom with her colouring books and pencils and closed the door.

Pepper was NOT happy about it
