Name some traits / tendencies your Staffy displays ~

I was just thinking about some of the strange, random, yet unbelievable things my gorgeous girl tends to do from time to time.
It made me curious as to some of the different characteristics/traits/tendencies that other Staffy owners may have experienced..

So please feel free to share something memorable your Staffy does on a regular basis, or even if it was a memorable once off !

Here's some things my girl has done that makes me laugh every time it crosses my mind ~

* she has only ever done this when she has been on her lead:
Once in a blue moon, she gets this overwhelming feeling of the need to run..
I'm no good at running so I just continue the walking pace.. which she definitely does not agree on because she literally starts doing cartwheels !
She will do a couple in a row, walk a little, do a few more, & more.. & more..
Her gymnastic routine only takes a minute or two to burn off that extra energy.. which thankfully means no running for me !

Just one of the things that makes my girl special.
If only she knew the happiness & laughter she brings me even just by thinking about her !

Hi ya welcome to the Forum

My Flo has a habit of chasing her Stix running back to us and waiting for us to wrestle it from her. If we give up and let her win to easily she'll just stand there and wait until we try again. If she still thinks we haven't tried hard enough she'll walk a few paces in front and then just stop till you grab the Stix again... It can make for a very slow walk

Hi and welcome from me and mia mia likes to zoom round in circles then howls and runs to the treat cupboard she also likes rolling and scratching her back on the new carpet

Yeah she does, doesn't she ?!
When she was a pup, she was pure white aside from those two big black spots.. it was only 2-3 months ago that all these little black spots started coming through. Can't see them in the photo though.. but they are everywhere !

From the photos, Mia seems as if she would be such a lovely, chilled out, placid dog & I could say the exact same about Flo ! She has a gorgeous head on her

Its the sun creating black spots i reckon i call it the dalmatian look mia is a great dog couldnt ask for better she has a very cheeky streak shes also clever

Yup, Flo is very laid back... Normally completely on her back taking over the sofa

Yes mias the same she has the cheek to leave postage stamp size of my bed for me to lie

Gotta love how they all come to the conclusion that they own the place !
When Mulisha sleeps in my bed, she won't close her eyes until I let her rest her read on my armpit
Every time I wake up, she has either managed to squirm down near my feet still under the blankets, OR she will be spooning me with her nose tucked under my neck

Aww bless my fault mia sleeps at my feet under the duvret she never sleeps on the pillow but shes always spread out like nobodys business snoring like a bull and doing silent but violent trumps

Ohhhhh my girl has some toxic concoction going on in her belly too.. Never have I smelt something that is alive give off the kind of emissions Lishy does O.o

Oh yes they look at u as to say wisnae me mum

I swear sometimes I just don't know how something that smells so fowl can come from something that looks so damn cute lol

Gizmo goes under the duvet, works his way to the end, stomps back up to the top and then buries himself back under. Repeatedly. All night.

Also, he either burps audibly, or he has a really weird sound that he makes.

Harley does a really cute yawn after he's slept and some funny noises at dinner time they really are vocal dogs.

Rio is an odd boy and has a few traits...

-He gets on his back and i think tries to scratch it so wriggles and shimmies on the floor whilst making bizarre noises

-When he's SUPER excited his little jaw opens and closes really fast

-He's CONSTANTLY making crazy staffy noises, very vocal boy

-When he's really excited to see you his bum shakes so much it takes his body with him

-And when he's playing with you and his kong, he 'yodels', i'll have to get it on video for you guys some time

I think the back scratching/wiggling thing is pretty standard for staffs, Jackson does it too. He also makes this funny little whiney noise when he meets other dogs. And he loves a game of chase... whether he's got a ball, his lead in his mouth (he carries it around A LOT), or a stick, if I pretend to chase him and grab it, he legs it and then waits for me to come after him again. If it's his lead he will eventually let me catch him so that we can play tug of war, his favourite game!
