Harri locked herself in the car

While getting her in the car to go for a run I grabbed my drink bottle and went to the garden tap to fill it then I heard the click noise and my heart sank she had stood on the central locking button and locked all the doors, and as my running shorts dont have any real pockets I had put the key in the front console.

Ok so now the dogs locked in the car with the key and my ph and the spare key is at work locked in a filing cabinet, me and the son spend the next 1/2 hr using toys to get her to walk back and forth over the centre console in hopes that she will hit the button again with no luck, I finally admit defeat and walk off to re-evaluate the situation when I hear click again and the locks open.

I tell you that was music to my ears I open the door and harri looks at me as if to say are we getting this show on the road or what.

In future the dog and keys will never be in the car alone again.

Oh Stu !!!!! I can imagine !!

I remember doing something very similar when I had two pups in the
back of my car and I took them to post a letter (was getting them used
to short car journeys).  I jumped out to put the letter in the Postbox
with the keys still in the ignition but engine switched off and the door got
locked.

Luckily an AA man was passing and saw my predicament, he kindly
showed me how to 'break in' using a wire coat hanger to open the
window.

I was frantic because it was a hot day, also I didn't have my phone with
me.  Needless to say the Staffies both thought it was great fun.

They sure do have a sense of humour these doggies.

Katy did it to us once, we were delivering logs & she stood on the door lock, luckily we were only down the road from our house so oh nipped home to get the spares. We always take the keys out now

Shouldn't laugh but can't help it! I will definitely be keeping this in mind though and never leaving my keys and Bane in the car together!

Yeh all was good we have all laughed over it here as well.

One point to make and it could have been a different story if it was summer here that car would have heated up in no time and she would have been in some real trouble, personally I would have smashed the window if that was the case but luckily it didnt come to that.

I locked Iza out the the house last weekend, took her out for pea shut the door and forgot about her bad memory at times. Was only 5 mins till i remembered.
