kind of staffi

Hi my staffi girl is 15 weeks and she seems big her mum and dad apparently we're short legged but she's quite big for 15 weeks any suggestion on what she could be

There's only one "type" of staffie anything else is a crossbreed. I've heard so many over the years; Irish, long legged etc, all a load of rubbish!

So what are they long or short? I wish I could send a picture she looks like she's going to be tall I've saw smaller ones and bigger ones to her but I have no idea what she's going to be like

So you have a photobucket account... All you need do is copy the IMG code that should be on the right hand side and then paste it into the reply box here

If you look into the standard by the KC they will give you a rough guide to measurements/weight etc but as Ian has said they can come in different shapes/sizes. Did you see both parents? Are they KC registered? Do you know their breeding?

At 15 weeks old it's really too early to tell how she will fill out and grow to be honest, but she looks fab

Thank you. From what you see do you think she looks staffi like? Me and my partner both think the way she acts and looks she must be full breed but she looks so tall but could also just be a tall staff

From the front view you have in the picture I would say Staff. If you have a side view we could see it would be easier to give an opinion. They can also be a bit "leggy" when young and then they fill out as they mature.

she looks adorable btw yup she looks full staffy to me. Looks similar to how my boy was at that age. They come in all shapes and sizes Harley is KC registered but is the taller heavier end of the standard.

She is so pretty . And welcome from me and Pixee. My Pixee is not a short staffie but a long leg one, but still very much staffie. They come in all shapes and sizes.

She's a lovely girl. Might be a full Staff or might not, if you're happy with her it doesn't matter. I must say she looks very big at 10 weeks. Bo was literally half that size at 10 weeks (below is him at 11.5 weeks). He's slightly bigger than breed standard average now and still growing, but they all grow at different rates.

Some of the comments reminded me of the other day. A bloke came up to me and fussed over Bo, then said how small he was. I said Not really, he's about average, to which he responded, "I've got two Staffies and they're twice his size!" A couple of days later I saw his 'Staffies' - one was a Boxer and one a Mastiff, neither had more than 10% Staffie in them. Great dogs, I'm sure, but Staffie... no way.

And Bo still has that look in his puppy stage and to his avatar as if to say,

Aww your pup is gorgeous! They're all a bit leggy when they're youngens, she wont be fully grown until she's about 2 so don't worry. They come in all shapes and sizes.

She is a pup and you wont know about standard until at least 12 months. to me she looks about spot on but next week she could look bigger than standard and two weeks later smaller. they dont grow in proportion so its a guessing game for a few months. the frame looks right though and she is adorable. whatever she is a stunning dog

As for the guy with the Boxer and Bull Mastiff?
Sound like one of those special dogs with two rectums.
