Mia aggression or playing?
Mia is nearly 11week old now, we had her for around 4week, we have not seen a change yet in her biting, she had her 2nd injection last week so we let her meet a family male staffy who is a big lad 8yrs old bout 20kg+ to see if he could get her to back down but no she just kept biting and nipping him even when he growled & barked at him. Is it going take a bit longer to get her out of this biting aggressive stage, we tried everything to distract her. Would a bit of puppy training classes do any good?

Re: Mia aggression or playing?
It's most definately playing at this age. I'm a little surprised that Mia didn't back away when told off by the older Staffy Andy but it looks like you've got a Brave one there.
Puppy classes are great on all sorts of levels, however, in my opinion they are the best way to socialise any puppy. They get to meet all types, big & small, and will enable you both to learn

Maisie is the same age when she gets really hyper she snaps im putting it down to puppiness and hoping she will grow out of it, everytime she snaps at me i put a toy in her mouth if she catches my hand at all i say NO and turn my back on her for a few mins hoping this will prevent her from doing this.

Ruby's exactly the same and is 13 weeks...she's getting better and now it usually just when she's excited for an hour or so a day. I'm using the same methods as Maisie and it seems to be doing the trick.

Most definitely playing anytime mias doing something you dont want to encourage simply stand up turj your back to her and fold your arms at this age pups tend to find clothes particularly sleeves and shoelaces as playthings also your hands essentially the earlier you learn her the better consistency and routine are the key as above the puppy socialisation classes are an excellent way of different breeds meeting at the same time.

Yip, all pretty normal behaviour for that age. Consistency on your part is the key to crack it.
Everyone who gets a pup goes through this and we've all thought at some point that it wasn't going to get better, but it does. It's like teaching a baby not to put something in his mouth.

Definately play at that age and she is also learning bite inhibition or the difference between playing and biting. Be patient and keep socializing and it will get much better. Also be aware of the teething age at around 16 weeks or so. Plenty of frozen treats will help. Here are a couple of links with good info on the subjects.

Re: Mia aggression or playing?
as said playing for sure. my girl was a right lil cow with thouse needle teath but she is a real soft mouth now. she also learnt how to use her dew claws so would hook your arm and then chomp down the madam. bite inhibition training is one of the easiest things to achieve although at the time it doesnt feel like it.

Thanks for all the replies, just read that link jstaff on puppy biting, we have tried all the different techniques suggested but none seem to work, we'll keep persisting but i think i may need to go down the training lesson route.

It does take some time. The key is patience and consistency. Also make sure everyone that interacts with the pup uses the same method every time. Suki took a little longer because I wold wrestle and play fight with her all the time. Not a good idea but I'm stubborn and we still play that way now but she is perfectly behaved with everyone else.
