New puppy
Hi all got myself a male staffie pup he 7 weeks old today his name is tank. Things iv noticed but don't know if normal he bites and grans my female staffy but constantly growls shows teeth when doing it. When he does the toilet and I pick it up he grabs my trouser leg and shakes it like a bit chicken yet again growling. Don't know if it's normall puppy behaviour as my female staffy wasn't like that. Don't know how to add pic.

Re: New puppy
That all sounds like normal puppy behaviour, you may want to keep a check on the biting though, the link below should help with that:

Re: New puppy
Hiya! I've moved this post to puppy chat as you will get more views here - does sound like normal puppy behavior to me. Males are usually a little more of a handful than females - and every puppy is different.

Re: New puppy
All normal behaviour as said, your older girl will put him in his place when she has had enough, just be aware you need to supervise at all times incase things get too rough. The trouser leg biting is normal in anything of this nature just distract with a toy always

Re: New puppy
Good advice above. Keep the training consistent and be mindfull that Tank will push boundaries with you and Amber. Amber should put him in his place without too much trouble but worth watching out for

Re: New puppy
That is a confident pup challenging the larger dog and trying to dominate it. See how the pup tries to jump on top raising it's head above Amber and it uses it's paws too. She let it go for so long then put little Tank in his place. She immediately went and got a toy to tell him if you want to play we play with these but he is full of confidence for sure. Amber seems to have him under control just keep a watch on it as he grows hopefully he will get the message.
