Advice wanted Empty Advice wanted

Post by johndoor1 Wed Mar 11 2015, 22:13

Hi guys I'm looking advice. My wee bestie has recently been diagnosed with chronic bronchitis. He is however, at 10, still extremely hyper and playful. He coughs, swallows and gags quite a bit bringing up mucus in the process. Sometimes his food comes back up too but I have recently started giving him smaller amounts only more often which seems to have helped the food side of things fairly well. I would be !most appreciative on any advice you could give me to help alleviate his symptoms. Thanks a lot in advance Smile

Hi John, welcome to the Forum.

I made your own thread as its quiet unique and will get more views this way.

I think little and often food might well be the way forward here. To be honest, bronchitis in dogs is not something I know too much about so would bow to vet advice.

Hopefully there will be someone that knows more than me that can offer better advice.

No experience with this either. I would keep feeding small frequent meals if that is helping

I think the only things you personally can do is give him plenty of gentle exercise (but not too close to meal times) and make sure he's getting good quality foods.
