advice wanted please!

I've recently bought a ridgeback staff. Owner had hand reared him but said mum was staff and dad was ridgeback. He's very small compared to other staff ridgeback I've seen so wondering if he does have ridge in him! Although his ridge is very clear along his back. This to to settle a debate between my partner and I lol.

He is a gorgeous little fella, sorry the picture wasn't very clear for me of his back but looks more Staffy than anything else to me
