Hi there would anyone be able to give me a bit of advice , I have 2yr old male (chip) and 1yr old female ( belle) she's just come to the end of her second season and like the first time gone completely off her food , she will eat anything that we are eating , also her biscuits but not her food , she's on a mix of wet and dry, also I've been told she has to be spayed 10 days after a season , is this true ? Thanks everyone

I moved this to general chat as it will get more views here.

I thought it was 2 weeks after the season for spaying but I have no personal experience. I'm sure someone who's been through this recently will be able to advise Smile

It can take months for the hormones to settle down after a season.. I would wait for 12 weeks personally before spaying to ensure all is levelled out and back to normal Smile

It is very common for girlies to go off their food when in season, but I also wonder if part of the problem is that you're offering her your food and biscuits when she doesn't eat? Wink try putting her food down and leaving it for 15 minutes - if she doesn't eat pick it up and don't offer again until the next meal. You'll feel mean but a healthy dog won't starve themselves Smile

It's 3 months from when her season ends before she can be spayed.
