Overweight?
Hi, I took Belle to the vets on friday for the second part of her yearly booster, on finishing the injection and after the vet trying to what I felt like was find something I could spend more money on, she said Belle was slightly overweight as she could feel excess over her ribs, and if I wanted to come back for a chat about it I could make an appointment!
I left a bit bemused as 4 weeks earlier at the same vets but a different vet, she weighed her and said she was in really good condition, i happened to weigh her on friday when I got there and i can't remember but it was there or there about the same as 4 weeks ago...plus I think shenis a pup, and it is winter and she is not getting as much excercise as she will during the lighter nights! Any thoughts on this please? By the way she weighs 21.6kg.

Re: Overweight?
I never go by weight just by looks. The ideal condition is the back two ribs being visible. I wouldn't woory at all about a pups weight though

Re: Overweight?
I agree with JStaff. Just run your fingers down her side and if you can feel her ribs then there shouldn't be a problem. From above, her waist should tuck in slightly after her ribs
Being a puppy she will have plenty of time to grow into it.
