Mouthing Empty Mouthing

Post by b_phippsy Thu Feb 12 2015, 12:00

Harley is 6.5 months and when he gets over excited meeting people he mouths a bit. Mostly just noice and grunting but people are wary after to stroke him. It's strange as he mouths people more that he knows I.e my friends and my mum but strangers not as much. And is this normal for him to be mouthing at his age and do they grow out of it. Thanks

Suki never really did this. We did teach her the no bite command because she tends to snatch hats of people's head

The mouthing does ease up. What we did is make her have something in her mouth when someone comes to the house. Now if she gets mouthy we say toy and she goes and grabs something. It's quite cute actually Love Struck

Aww mia what a good girl not snatching. We do this with Harley sometimes think it's great teaching them to go gently. I will definitely try the get up and ignore thanks.
