Home made toys
What sort of home made toys do you make for your staffs? I popped a hard rubber ball into the toe of an old sock, knotted it in a few places and chucked it for Milo & he's not let it go since. He's made a few holes in the sock already but it's dead easy to redo and free - and it uses up all the old dead socks lying around lol.
It'd be great to hear what you clever people do for your fur babies?

Re: Home made toys
Im always making home made toys to mix it up a little....
- tie old odd socks together to make a rope
- milk bottles with treats inside to make it noisy
- hide toys inside an old blanket (keeps him occupied for ageeees)
- toilet roll tubes
- any cardboard food packaging
- old slippers
the list is endless!

Re: Home made toys
Like Kita, I use cardboard boxes and tubes quite a bit. They love ripping them up and you can hide treats in first. Our local picture framer has an endless supply of tough cardboard tubes.

Re: Home made toys
Fabulous ideas and I love the frozen teatowel idea too. Must try that. I've done the coke bottle with doggy treat inside - that really frustrates him. Not sure about the old slipper as he already steals (or trys to) my new slippers when he can altho he may stop if he has his own. Will try.
Many thanks xxx

Re: Home made toys
Hi
We haven't had great success with treats in bottles. But we found hiding them under yoghurt pots works well, we put a treat under some and not others and stick some of the treats in the top with a small bit of peanut butter.
As a treat every few months we core an apple and play catch with it.
Grace will play tug of war with pretty much anything we give her from blankets to plastic packing.
