Dog bones for my four year old Staffy bull terrier cross
Hi i'm Pam 54 . I wonder if someone can help me . I have a staffy he his 4 yrs old . I want to give him proper bones . Some butcher told me to give him cooked ham shank bone . But I heard the it can cause hard pad . Which is the best bones that I can get him . As the ones from the pet shop cause him to get stomach problems .

Sorry, I can't help you with the bones question as I don't give them to my Flo but I know others do and I'm sure they will be happy to tell you what they give there dogs when they log in

Hi from me and mine - definitely no cooked bones.
If you want something for quick munching then things like ribs are good. If you want something that will take a bit longer, more of a gnawing bone, then raw beef marrow bones. I tend not to give these too often now as a previous dog wore his back teeth right down.
I know some on here give their dogs antlers instead - maybe someone could pop a link up for you?

I would never give a dog cooked bones as they can splinter, raw would be best. The deer antlers are great too as in the links supplied by Crystal above
