Loose Poo
Over the last couple of days Coopers poo has been quite runny. I don't understand what could be causing it as he has been on the Wainwrights tinned chicken and rice for a good while now and loves it. His poo's have normally been very solid and easy to pick up but like I say over the last couple of days they have been quite runny.
Should I be worried about anything? Thanks

Re: Loose Poo
If he continues just pop to the vets they give you a syringe of dog medication to give your dog, have you give him anything liver or beef related? That always gices my dogs a upset stomach

Re: Loose Poo
Has been ok in himself otherwise? Is it possible he maybe picked something up off the road or got hold of something he shouldn't have?
Just keep an eye on him, make sure he is drinking well and if it continues after a few days maybe a vets visit would be a good idea

Re: Loose Poo
It could be a number of things really.
Any chance he could have picked something up on his walks, in the house? I doubt it would be his food if hes been on it for a while. Have you given him any treats/bones recently? Sometimes they can disagree with them.
Make sure he's keeping hydrated, if hes not drinking, try ice cubes.
How is he this morning? You could always call the vet for a little advice too

Re: Loose Poo
Hi
Thanks for your replies, he's drinking well and does seem himself other that a bit of a cough when he gets excited.
I have decided to give him another go on the raw food, just the chicken mince to start with and see how he goes on that. He had some last night with a small amount of tinned meat mixed in and he ate that and this morning he just had the raw mince with a few peas and he ate it so fingers crossed he will stay on the raw food now.
His poo was also much better this morning, not a great amount bit alot harder so fingers crossed it was just something he ate.

Re: Loose Poo
Glad to hear he's pooping a little better this morning
I'd keep an eye on that cough as well, he may have picked a little kennel cough up from somewhere.

Re: Loose Poo
That's great to hear just take it easy on the raw, keep it simple for a few weeks before trying anything exotic and he should be fine in the poop department! They go less on a raw diet too
