Any suggestions?
Myself and my OH want to take Bug on holiday this spring. Have decided to stay in the UK as passports etc are expensive hassle!
We are hoping to go for 5 days - anywhere in the UK with a holiday cottage and long, beautiful walks on the doorstep. We live by Dartmoor, so walk there most days, and visit Cornwall frequently.

Re: Any suggestions?
We went to the Peak District end of last year and that was lovely! Stayed here: http://www.daleendhouse.co.uk/Home.aspx
It was in the middle of nowhere so loads of different footpaths through the valleys on your doorstep. Loads of little dog friendly towns around too!
I have a friend has just gone up to Scotland for a week with her two Huskys to make the most of the snow So jealous!

I also say have a look at this link, because it was me that stayed there!!
It is a lovely part of the world.
Next year we're going to hire a boat and do the Caledonia Canal (Fort William to Inverness) and take the dog too. I did it in a canoe a few years back so I need to go back and do it in style!

Re: Any suggestions?
So many ideas!! Amazing! Peak District looks perfect for us, and I've fallen in love with New Abbey - you live in such a beautiful place Colin!! We're torn now between Peak District, Lake District and Scotland. Melrose looks gorgeous, though may be too busy for our special needs girly. Going to have a nose on the dogs trust website too. Thank you all

Have a look at Northumberland.
Beautiful coast line, great countryside, hills to walk, right on the border and easy reach of Durham.

Re: Any suggestions?
My two fav places are Scotland, "anywhere" the place is like a diamond set into the ring that is the earth, world renowned for its breathtaking countryside. and the Jurasic coast on the south west, my personal fav. out of bikejor season im gonna take the dogs to both places and have a lil run with them just because we can.
