Paw Problem
Ralph had his cruciate ligament done at the end of October and it's been healing well. I was worried the other day when he started limping on it again and wouldn't weight bare. I was thinking all sorts of things had gone wrong with it and was dreading the outcome!
Anyway, I noticed him licking his paw a bit (on the same leg) so investigated. Turns out he's hurt his pad so it's not his leg after all. Relief!
It looks quite sore though, maybe a bit of an infection so I've got some Hibiscrub from the vet to bathe it in and will try and stop him nibbling on it.
Going to try and put something over his paw too, to stop him biting it and will keep an eye on it make sure it doesn't get any worse!
He seems to be feeling more sorry for himself now, than he did when he had his surgery. My dog is a big baby!
I'm hoping there is nothing stuck in his pad or something - I can't see anything but he's not keeping very still when I try and have a look.

Re: Paw Problem
Hibiscrub will help and maybe some cream too, though he will of course leave white paw prints around the house if you put too much on as we have found
Hope it heals quick

Re: Paw Problem
Ledger wore his pads down in a similar place on all 4 paws when we climbed Snowdon before Xmas vet said if he's not overly licking it to leave it to breathe, no walking on stone/concrete for a few days and just to bathe in salt water after each walk. Healed a treat in a few days enough to start walking on pavements again a month on and you'd not know he'd done it we've been back up the mountain since and even went for a 5mile run yesterday
