Diet consisting of mainly red meat?

Is it true that dogs need a diet of mainly red meat? People that feed kibble feed chicken formulas all the time and have no problems.

I've never read anywhere that they need a mainly red meat diet. In fact when researching RAW, red meat is one of the last you introduce to them because of how rich it is and can cause tummy upsets.

We try to feed as much of a varied diet as possible. Some dogs do have allergies/intolerances to the most commonly used meats in commercial food as they have become so over processed one of which is Beef: a red meat.

Sooo not sure on that one!

It's not true as red meat is hard to digest but can be given in small amounts.
