walking gear for your dogs

Paw wax is a great thing to use for your dogs if your out and about alot, it can protect against cold, salt and other chemicals and even heat on hot pavments. I use mushers secret, known as the invisible boot but came across this from one of the guys in the group im in. going to give it a try myself as prefer to use home grown if i can. thought you guys who are more active might like this as its should help protect paws in any condition. you only need to apply once a week and its such a simple recipe.

Home Made Paw Wax Recipe
You’ll Need:

28g Beeswax

Equal amount of olive, coconut or avocado oil

Pinch of borax substitute

Essential oils if wanted

Tins or other airtight containers (old paw wax contain-
ers are idea)
Method:
Melt the beeswax slowly. The best way is in a bowl over
simmering water.
Add the oil and mix until it has the consistency of
whipped cream.
Add the borax and stir again.
Add a few drops of essential oil (lavender, chamomile,
rose etc) if desired.
Store in airtight containers

Hi Beth, mushers secrect is fantastic and i run my two with it on a weekly basis. the recipe is from a a trusted source and im quietly confident it will do a good job. and hats of to you for looking after your dogs feet, its often overlooked but so important
