Re: Iza going kennel for 1 night.
Would you be able to take her own bed with her, and maybe a blanket, maybe also an old jumper of yours that will smell of you to comfort her. Some of her own food too or do you know what they would be feeding her there ? Sorry not much help, we have never left Rocky anywhere either.

I think Kathy has pretty much covered it above Colin. The only thing I would add is perhaps a favourite toy.

Thanks everyone good advice, she eats out of a casserole bowl, be fun handing that over perfect size and very sturdy.

Awww! Koda went for a month when we got married a few months ago, they said not to take anything or will cause friction with other dogs. Good luck!!

They come to our house and pick her up so will have stuff ready just in case. Couldn't bear to take her there and not come home without her.

Re: Iza going kennel for 1 night.
This may have been brought up before, so apologies. Has there been or could there be a sticky somewhere for people who would be able to help and maybe look after a forum members staffy for a night depending on circumstance?
Re: Iza going kennel for 1 night.
Ah, I feel your pain, I'll have to do this with Zeus next year as we're going away, so I'm going to take him a few times before we actually leave him there just to get familiar with his surroundings, but it's gunna kill me!

Re: Iza going kennel for 1 night.
I sent Milo to a kind lady who runs a does dog boarding at her house and like you I let him have a couple of doggy daycare sessions to see how it went. I worried so much about him, but received facebook videos everyday almost so I could see how he was getting on. He was fine. He's a little nervous so looked a bit out of his depth when the other dogs were being a little rough with him but I would def do it again rather than ordinary kennels.

Pete
A bit nervous to start with, she hid in kennel for first hour or so and she hated when all the dogs started barking prob cause she doesn't hear many big barking dogs in my sleepy village but the owner said she would get more confident as time goes on. She was ok in evening and slept ok lol i phoned 3 times to make sure everything was ok.
She peed in excitement when she came home bit clingy when first back but normal daft self again now

Well done Iza. Lynn's a little worried about Theia going in, but once she gets a few drinks on Saturday she'll be fine!
