annoyed :,(
Basically I am so annoyed at the moment because me and my partner took Harley out down the fields and had him off lead practicing recall and in the distance we could see a pack of dogs so i called him and put him on the long lead as he is only young I though this would be a good opportunity for socialization for him boy was I wrong!!
The boxer and GSD were all brilliant with him and they played nice and Harley was being very submissive like he usually is and lays down then this yappy shih tuz (dont know how you spell it) (off lead) came at him snapping at him and Harley ignored him but this dog wouldn't leave him alone and in the end I had to pick my boy up as he was on his back being attacked! the main reason I am angry is because the previous week this yappy dog did exactly the same and the owners did nothing not even apology.
Im upset because he is my baby and all he wants to do is play he needs to learn manners because he does jump up alot at other dogs but generally he shows submissive and lays down.
I am more worried when he approaches small dogs such as jack russels or toy breeds etc.. because they generally are the ones to get snappy and the bigger dogs are fine its weird.

Your right there Beth, it is usually the small dogs that can more yappy than bigger ones, maybe have a word with the owner and explain that not all dogs maybe as submisive as yours.

Re: annoyed :,(
You are spot on . Peppa was bit at 3.5 by some kind of jack Russell thing. I would have a word with the owner as his dog should be on the lead that's wrong and even shi-tsu can bite.

Re: annoyed :,(
I find Westies are often aggressive like that, the owners are slack at best, far from spoilt they are neglected, totally unnecessary.
Re: annoyed :,(
Was over Flo's Big park today and in the distance I could hear a real commotion with loads of barking and people shouting. As we got nearer we saw a large group of smaller dogs all going hell for leather at each other with the owners shouting at them and each other.
Couldn't see what types they were as we didn't want to get that close but they were all small. And they say that Staffs are the vicious ones

The most aggressive dog in our park is a Yorkie, goes off like a Tasmanian devil when it clocks another dog it's mostly walked on a flexi lead by a lad of about 14 I was 50/50 as to whether he kicked it the one day but mosty it just gets picked up and taken out of the park.
