Corner of eye is red
Hello everyone, just wondering if anyone has experienced this problem with there puppy. Harleys left eye has become red in the very corner near where his tears are, and it seems the thin membrane which is normally black becomes red and protrudes a little whenhhes tired. Then the next morning its back normal, his other eye does not have this membrane and is fine I just wondered of this is normal. Thanks

It's not something I've encountered Beth. Strange that it disappears in the morning. Hopefully someone else will be able to offer more advice.

Re: Corner of eye is red
I will try get him into the vets tomorrow but I've uploaded a photo of it. After reading some of the other posts on here about red eyes it might just be that the membrane is dark on one eye and white on the other eye. Its just concerning me when it is red and swollen.

Re: Corner of eye is red
Hi guys feeling rather silly now been to the vets with Harley and they said the black bit in the corner is his 3rd eyelid and its just a different colour to the other side lol. The vet put some green stuff in his eyes and said everything was looking ok so happy days.
Also the vet mentioned putting tea bags on his eyes if they become red anyone heard of this I would love to see him let me do that lol
thanks

Re: Corner of eye is red
Glad to hear Harley is OK, yes I have heard that tea bags on eyes can reduce swelling.............. getting a dog to keep them on there ???? Cannot wait to see the video
