Proud of my snugglebum

Had to break up a dog fight yesterday. Both dogs were on the lead one a staffy one a boxer. It was in the middle of a pavement so I think they got a little too close when passing each other. Anyway neither owner had a clue. The owner of the staffy was hysterical, she was so upset and she wasn't helping, the owner of the boxer was shouting at the lady who owned the staff. Meanwhile the dogs were fighting what a mess! Tied my boy to the railings and grabbed the lead and collar of the boxer, shouted at the bloke to grab the staffy as the woman was a mess and I yanked and he yanked luckily neither dog was grabbing the other at that point and we separated them phew!

Anyway under all that stress and commotion I turned around to check on axl he was sitting down nicely just watching <3 a few months back he probably would have been growling and snarling himself so huge hugs for my good boy!!

What annoyed me is that the guy with the boxer openly admitted his dog didn't like staffies and then shouted at the last who was really crying and shaking telling her he was going to report her for having a dangerous dog!! I told him I could report the pair of them for having a dog that's out of control, I did add "look at mine" at which point we turned and axl was wiggling and doing the staffy dance lol. Anyway he so shut up and I told the lady to go and she walked off while the bloke went in the other direction. All of that could have been avoided if they have their dogs some room to pass each other...

Quite right Debs, so many of these situations are avoidable. I know that Rocky does not like boxer dogs so we always avoid them. A lot of this comes down to knowing your dog and what to avoid.

Well done debs and axl he was a classic of how a dog should behave you saved not only their lives and the poor womans sanity. But a huge vet bill too and possibly a court case
