Need some advice on Thundershirts please
Hi Everyone
Has anyone used a Thundershirt before and if so what are your thoughts?
I am thinking of trying Archie with one as over the past couple of weeks he has become very nervous and stressed when we are getting ready and leaving for work on a morning.
I honestly don't think its separation anxiety as I have read about it and he doesn't follow us all over the house, he is quite happy to take himself off upstairs and sleep. I think something has spooked him while we have been out and now he is scared.
Any advice and thoughts are greatly appreciated as its breaking my heart to see him like this, I hate coming to work and leaving him

Not sure the thundershirt would be much use in this situation as it will become part of the routine that he associates with you leaving. You need to desensitise him and you getting anxious will just make it worse try changing your routine when you do leave and also go through the current routine but dont go, put your coat on etc and stay and play with him then take off your coat and sit back down.
When you go out where does Archie stay? Freerun of the house/crate etc do you give him a stuffed kong etc when you go?

Thanks for all your comments. He stays downstairs, so has the sitting room and kitchen. He has a kong but isn't interested in it when I put things in it, he has loads of toys and chews to keep him entertained
