Roxy's sterilisation : UPDATED
First topic message reminder :
Well, Roxy is now 6 months old and is booked in to the vets for sterilisation next Thursday.
It' gonna be a long day for me, waiting to bring my girl home again. She is generally "full of energy" so i'm hoping she stays relatively calm while she gets over the op.
If you have a female who has had the op, how have they coped after the op while recovering?????

She is very tired and has been sick a bit just froth! She is laid snuggled up in her fleece blancket in her new soft doughnut bed I bought for her this afternoon for her to recover in as her normal bean bag would mean her jumping up to it! She has been giving the odd wimper and I feel real sorry for her
[b]Thanks to everyone for asking how she is!! x
Awwww, hope she's doin better today

Hi all, Skye is looking a lot better today, she ate all her scrambled egg during the night and is now having tuna, She just wants cuddles with her mum this morning, she is glued to my leg, bless her! She had a little wander in the garden earlier too, so she is getting there! She has gave herself a good wash this morning but has not bothered with her stitches which is good hopefully she will leave them and won't have to wear the big cone!!!
HUGS TO ROXY TOO!!! ><

Woooooo-hoooooooooo....stitches are out and it's all systems go again.
YAY...can take her out for walks again ( she was becoming more naughty and destructive than usual being house/yard bound ) and can now have a bath ( to banish the winter doggy smell )
Hopefully once we get back into a routine of walks etc...she will settle a bit.
Just one problem......it's C C C c c cold here now, which makes it hard to get motivated but I know she'll love me for it

Skye was exactly the same naughty and destructive but is now settling down again as she has been off lead today!
Her wound healed nicely and she didn't touch it once, she was so good!!
Thankfully its warm here wasn't sure when she can get it wet tho maybe will give her a bath soon too!

Glad to hear that she can go out again. Suki healed very well but she was very hard to deal with without her trips to the dog park and walks.

Re: Roxy's sterilisation : UPDATED
Dont know if anyone has heard of this but Rhia is being neutered by keyhole surgery I'd never heard of it but the foster carers that brought her to me from the rescue told me that their local vet does it. It is more expensive but the recovery is much quicker. I will let you all know how it goes when she has it done.
