Re: Roxys Mum
Thanks Hayley!
Eeek, sorry, I totally missed this. Sara, it's glorious - well, usually scorching!! But, look at how it poured and poured yesterday.. today there's not a cloud in the sky and it's already up to 20 degrees C at 10:30am. Our summer days aren't as long as yours as it gets dark at about 7pm, but that's late for us (it gets dark later in the Cape). Summer is our rainy season, though, but typical of Joburg is to have a hot, hot day and a stunning storm complete with thunder, lightening hail and rain in the afternoon/early evening. Then it all clears up and the sun's back out. We love our storms!
It's also wonderfully quiet around the time you're coming since it's our main summer holidays so everybody heads off to the coast. The city has already emptied out somewhat this week. Let me know if you'd like recommendations for places to visit/shop etc
Where in Jhb will you be? If you need staffy love I know two very willing dogs
