Milo and Agility Classes

Yey - I finally found an agility class just outside of Leicester. They're holding an open day this Sunday ( his 1st birthday! ) so we'll be going to watch, then I've booked him a slot on the 25th for four weeks to see how it goes.
He's absolutely bonkers about leaping up onto things, or jumping over things so I think it'll do him good - if he can concentrate on it and not chasing all the other dogs around

I definitely will Sazzle - I'm looking forward to it. I'm just doing it for fun - not interested in competition or anything. I wouldn't be able to keep up with him anyway at my grand ole age

I have just changed the centre I take Theia to (luckily, we have 2 training centres nearby!). Because she enjoyed the puppy fun agility, and was quite good at it, I didn't want her picking up my bad habits. The new centre said she shouldn't have been doing some of the obstacles until she is at least 9 months old!
So we are starting from scratch, commands and rewards! Today, we had the arena to ourselves, and could have stayed there all day! Pleased to say she still loves it, and is spark out now!!

Should be great fun for you and the dog! staffies are so agile and its a perfect way to get some of that energy out. lots of praiseand fuss, even for a failed attempt at something will increase the desire to please

Definitely Nathan - lots of treats in pocket & cuddles ready & waiting lol. I just hope he'll be as agile as Marley or is it Laska climing the trees.

Well - we went and there were so many people and dogs there I feel like I've been on the rack with Milo pulling soo much to get to the other dogs all the time. I can't ever imagine letting him loose to go round the course - he'll be gone !
