Iams food quantity enough
We have been feeding our 4 month staffie girl Tilly Iams puppy & junior for nearly 2 weeks now, as advised by the guide at 6kg she should be having 310g a day but am concerned its not enough as she seems to be looking for more throughout day.
Am I best to continue with the amount advised until she is weighed next?

A lot of dogs are greedy by nature and will always look for for more food! I'm not sure how good quality iams is? Maybe she'd be better on a food with more meat content? Weight wise does she look ok?

Re: Iams food quantity enough
I think her weight is looking ok maybe lost abit but she is more active now, we rehomed her as last owner did not have time to walk due to work commitments but now she is walked everday. Have been reading about raw/natures diet food but unsure whether to change. Will look into getting her weighed again next week & then decide. Thank you

I just think that dog owners have the right to be aware of these things they can then make an informed decision.

Re: Iams food quantity enough
Stopped by at my local pets at home store to speak to someone about changing Tillys diet to raw or natures diet & was told not to do so until she is at least 6 months, is this correct? Tilly is 4 1/2 months but advice in the above links says raw can be given at any age.

Re: Iams food quantity enough
Yes it can, I've never had a pup myself but I think you just have to be quite accurate with the ratios on raw while they are still growing x

Iams for me has far to much grain in and I would stay clear of type of food.
