Insurance - how much cover? Empty Insurance - how much cover?

Post by Tyzasmum Wed Sep 03 2014, 16:57

Hiya,

I have a male staffie pup whos 9.5 weeks old, and just looking for insurance for him as our 4 weeks free insurance runs out in 2 weeks.

Just wanted some ideas on how much to get cover for, the policies i am looking at are £2,000 or £4,000 per condition per year but unlimited payout per year, this is with animal friends.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Animal friends are quiet a popular choice here.

There's a good thread here that might help too:-

Have a good look around the Forum as there are other threads too.

Thank you for your reply. I have had a little search on some of those threads but cant really find an answer. Think im going to go for the higher level of cover though. Thank you

Always try to go for the highest cover you can afford to pay for. We have Rocky insured with More Than at about £18 per month. We were previously with Argos on their Platinum Life Time policy and paid £18 per month before making a claim last year, they then wanted to increase this to £25 per month, needless to say we moved to More Than then.

Thank you. My quotes are all coming up at £22 a month and upwards for lifetime cover. More than are wanting over £33 a month for around £4000 of cover, which animal friends is offering (per condition) for £27 a month. Im really not sure who to go with, i am with healthy pets for my cats insurance but they wanted £27 a month for their lowest cover. I am trying to read reviews from everywhere but its making me more confused. Think i will just have to pick one and stick to it.
Thank you
