Vomiting for few days Empty Vomiting for few days

Post by peppa Fri Aug 29 2014, 19:07

I gave peppa the drontalplus and advocate on tuesd and since then every late afternoon she vomit her light middle meal and has diharria . She is more quiet in the house but her usual hyper self when out.
It's 5 weeks from the beginning of her 1st season and her trats are still bit swollen but not hard and not warm.
Any ideas? I'm worried and trying to get hold of the vet no success so far.

How much dosage of each medication did she have ? I know drontal tablets can make Rocky sick this is why we now give him one tablet one day and another the next. Maybe it was all a bit too much to give in one day ? i don't know ??

I gave her the whole dose: two bone shaped chewy pills and the advocate when I realised its the one for lung worm. I never gave them together before

Sounds like the tablets best give vet a bell though just to be on safe side Smile

I called the vet she says it can be the medication causing vomiting and she might also be under the weather because of her season but said not to worry too much unless it gets worse. Took her outside and she's fine she's guarding me lol

Maybe pupsky actually had one of the worms that she was treated for and that's the reaction ? I haven't seen any.

Have seen this reaction from wormer before.. Might have vomited up the wormer though so check with your vet if you have to worm again?!

I doubt it cause she vomited few good hours after and if she lost it then it wouldn't cause such reaction.

Possibly, as long as it was hours after it may be okay. May be coincidental, just keep an eye I suppose!

She had a little bit of kibble late in the evening and was sick in the middle of the night.  But woke up hungry and wolfed down the rest of it before I could cook her chicken-rice. I'm taking her to vet later I hate it when my baby is not well .

It's a good sign that she ate her kibble, means she has a good appetite & is probably not feel so sick today. Certainly won't hurt to take her to the Vet just to be sure.

Next time maybe give only one medication on a single day and wait a few days before giving another, that way you know which medication is likely to have caused the problem. Hopefully Peppa is over the worst of it now.

Never been so happy to see her starving I'm cooking her rice and chicken and she's standing by it waiting so its A good sign as she didn't have good appetite like she normal has for few days. That's the first time I gave her the mess together and the last . I'm going to read more about alternative medicine does any ot you use them ?? Although I don't know about lung worm its worrying.

It does all worms including lungworm Smile
