Re: really struggling
when my lurcher broke her leg on christmas eve a few years back we took her to the vets and they said complete rest, no exersise, thing was if we did that she was going to cause more harm to herself than good, so we took her on two short walks each day at the normal times. Took her to the vets and they said her leg actually healed alot quicker than they had expected.
IMO; you know whats best for your dog, you dont have to follow everything a vet says as 100% must.

Re: really struggling
Poor Ace. Explain to your vet that it's driving him to hurting himself & ask whether you could take him for a couple of very short & gentle walks a day.

Re: really struggling
.... that is no good to hear...must be so hard for you to see him like and that...hope Ace is allowed to go for some slow walks soon. That is the trouble with staffys, they are such active dogs.. and he wouldn't understand what is happening... Hope there is a light at the end of the tunnel.. and soon !
