Toots and the deer
Out on our walk earlier, we were walking through a field of long grass.
Suddenly a deer springs up near Toots and runs. Toots in hot pursuit!
Omg I thought. I ran the other way calling her. She stopped, looked at me...and came right back!
Praise, treats galore, off we went. Very relieved

Fab! I let Moo chase them - she'll never catch one but puffs her out trying

Re: Toots and the deer
Thanks everyone
Hope it's not a fluke though. She spent so long next to me on a short lead while the leg was healing, she now doesn't let me out of her sight!
She'll probably gain in confidence over the next few months.
Will keep up lots of recall practice!
