gentle leader/halti??
Lokis lunging and pulling is really getting on my nerves a bit, we've been turning the other way and walking, stopping, making him sit, and it's not getting any better and just hurting my hands. He's getting bigger and alot stronger, I need it to stop now, so we've been considering a halti just to see if it will help.

Re: gentle leader/halti??
I've used a halti and thought it was brilliant, used it for about 6 months while training, and now she doesn't need it at all and walks nicely beside me. Might not need to use it for that long, it just gave me more control as Bug was reactive/aggressive when I first adopted her.

Ahh thank you!!! I just don't like all these offensive, choke chains and prong collars, I saw a no pull harness that squeezes them....I think I shall get one on the weekend.

Re: gentle leader/halti??
I use a halti when I take both girls out as they are easier to control. I also use one when I take Lola out alone as she is a puller. They make a real difference.

Re: gentle leader/halti??
Loki is nearly 5 months and his head is tiny still, so I'll probably need a small size.

I have one for marley who pulls like a steam train but while in his halti he is as good as gold, all be it with a rather grumpy face

We have a Halti for Alfie, he still tries to pull but it takes the strength out of it. He hates it though

Re: gentle leader/halti??
I think I'm gonna either get another lead or a double ended one so I can have control from the halti and harness.

Yes that's what we have, though our trainer recommended Halti and collar after watching him.

Re: gentle leader/halti??
I'm gonna go and try and find a double ended lead, to go with the halti, I was watching some victoria stilwell training today and I've done all the other things so decided I might as well give this one a go. I'm gonna go practice with him on my own walking up and down, and I'm going to make him walk around the park and by every dog with it!! Just to calm him down.
