Hair loss in my 11 month old male blue English staffy

Hi, am so happy to have joined this forum. Am wondering if anyone can tell me if it is normal for a staffy to have less fur under his armpits. Also a bauld spot about the size of a 5 cent coin has appeared on the side of his neck. Am worried he may start to lose his fur.

Typically staffies have very little fur under the arm pits. As for the bauld spot appearing on the neck, I would suggest popping to the vet for a skin scrape to rule out mites, allergies and so on.

I would also suggest a visit to the vet for a skin scapre just to check for mites etc.

My blue brindle has hair loss down his back which is seasonal alopecia. Skind scrapes showed nothing and he loses it in the winter and it grows back in the summer (poor little baldy dog lol).

Apparently it can be caused by the "blue genes" as well.

Could it be something as simple as the harness rubbing? If not I would also suggest a vet trip to rule out mites x

Bald armpits are quiet normal, as for the other spot, I would also suggest a quick visit to the vet to check for mites but as already mentioned it could also be alopecia.
