Rescuing a Staffy

Hello - it has been quite awhile since I have been on here. My SBT of 13 years died a year ago and it has been a rough time losing him. He was one amazing little dog and I still miss him everyday.

I am just about ready to consider adopting another staffy and have done a bit of research on places to rescue from, but figured I would ask on here as well in case there is somewhere I have not thought of. I am in Dublin and find that a lot of the dedicated SBT rescues are in Northern Ireland or the UK. I am not sure if they will adopt to someone outside their area.

Anyhow, I am looking to adopt a male staffy as I have a female spayed pit bull mix who is 13 yrs old. She loves other dogs and I think has been a bit lonely since my male died.

Any ideas where I can look for SBTs for adoption?

Perhaps you could contact some of the centres in Northern Ireland to see if they would re-home to you being outside the area?

We do have other Irish members so maybe someone will be able to advise better, good luck in your search
