Took tia for a walk yesterday on the beach and as all puppy find somethin to eat she sure did... next thing shes throwing up on the beach n swallowin heavy.. She settles down later all seems ok back to her lively self n then today shes just sat in a tight ball in her cage not eating or drinking Soo shes gotta stay in the vets to be put on a drip n to have x-rays.. Absolutley heartbraking leaving her behind

Re: Poor tia
Oh..the poor little dear. Do you know what it was that she found and swallowed????
Hope the vet can help her back to her normal self again quickly, and that she can come back home soon too.
Please keep us up-to-date on her progress.
Hugs to you >< coz we all need a good hug at times like this

Re: Poor tia
Well they examined her and the vet felt something that shouldnt be there she was also dehydrated so she stayed in on a drip.. Went to pick her up yesterday and they hadnt found anything on the xray but she was back to her lively self.. Got the nicest greeting ever off her and a fat vets bill of 146 pounds... Got her half way home and she has really bad diarrhoe goes all over me back seats in the car.. was horrible! few trips in and out the bath n this mornin she doesnt seem to have it no more just gotta try her with some food this mornin n if she has diarrhea again or shes sick shes gotta go back..Dreadin feedin her!! fingers crossed she doesnt have to go back...

Re: Poor tia
Poor baby, maybe try feeding her something very basic like chicken and rice to help try and settle her down. Hugs to you both and I hope for a quick recovery. Moo ate a dead Jelly fish last year on the beach and was very ill so I can sympathise there ><

Re: Poor tia
Awww yeah well the vet did suggest a jelly fish but it was more worrying because where we live a labrador ate something off the beach and died so everyone was warned of toxic seaweed She had scrambled egg still a tiny bit of diarhea but everything seems ok now i hope

Re: Poor tia
Did she drink any seawater?
When we took Bandit to the beach he dranks loads of it & then had really watery runs for 24 hours.

Re: Poor tia
Poor baby I just saw this post. Most nasty things which will have been washed up by the sea will be very dead, very rotten and covereed in bacteria. Its likely she just ate something like a dead seagull or fish, If the vet has sent her home i'm sure she will be on the road to recovery. I would be tempted to just give her chicken, brown rice, scrambled egg and natural yoghurt for the next couple of days. If shes eating though she must be feeling a bit better

Re: Poor tia
I think it maybe a good idea! There are plenty of threads on here about insurance etc. Its a good thing to have, and there's always one to suit. So pleased Tia is back to herself, you can't keep them down long x

Re: Poor tia
Try John Lewis pet insurance, I just changed from Tesco for Chloe it was costing 19.74 per month for 4000 cover not lifetime..... Just 4000 per condition 60 access
I now got both Chloe and Blake covered 7000 per condition per year lifetime cover with 75 access for 28 per month
Sorry no pound signs can't find them on a mac, any ideas ?
