Gobsmacked!

In the field with Biscuit playing with her kong wubba on the long line.. Saw a guy walking through without a dog so put her on a short lead just in case.. Golden Retriever appears out of nowhere running AT us! I ask the guy to call him back and he tries and fails.. The dog runs up at snarls at Biscuit and steals her wubba!! :O

Bis is understandably peed off and starts barking at the dog who has bolted with her toy, I shout to the guy and say that I want it back as it's her training toy and cost £10, he says that his dog is possessive and will bite if he tries to get it back.. No sh*t?! Why let him off lead and approach another dog with a toy then?? I just sat in the field watching him chase his dog for ten minutes.. Biscuit was completely calm and lying next to me but the dog was growling and running off!

Luckily, a lovely lady with a Westie saw it all and approached the man and managed to get her wubba back, I said Bis was scared of other dogs and she threw it over to us and Biscuit sat perfectly waiting the lady was so nice and said how well she was doing and to keep up the good work whilst the man was staring me out from across the field?! Very odd! But we got our wubba back!!

Well done Bis for behaving like a real lady and showing the naughty dog how to behave. As for the owner all i can says is he an idiot letting the dog of the lead in the first place

I'm so proud of her! Other than initial barking she lay by my side completely calm. But still, dangerous situation to be in. Feel like reporting him!

My goodness that guy sounds like a total tit. Don't think I would have been so calm tbh. There always seems to be one around to spoil the fun though doesn't there.

What a complete idiot this guy sounds.. Why would you let your own aggressive dog off lead.. Beggars belief really. Glad you and Bis were ok and what a star Bis is

Thank you for all of the lovely comments! There would be a riot if it was the other way around I'm sure! He's allowed the dog to charge us so many times now it's silly, he walks at random times though so it's hard to avoid him

Aww thats annoyin. Theres always unavoidables its a nightmare. Theres 1 woman i always try to stay away from with 2 little dogs......we walked past her and her dogs were yapping and mine was wagging away and WE got looked up and down and she ushered the dogs away muttering under her breath. Whenever its unavoidable i walk past now im always really false and like 'GOOD MORNING!!!' Over her dogs yapping. Again tho had mine been the aggresor tho she would have been freaking out

Well done to you and Bis. This happened to me once on the beach when a dog ran up and stole Stellas ball. It ran off and duly tore it to pieces and the owner just said " he always steals other dogs balls, here have this one" handing me the other dogs good slazenger tennis ball
