Hey was wondering bout allergies treatments, a while back i was at the moors and poor wee thing was a mess from the cut grass and had a head like a crocodile it was all lumpy! Tht only lasted an hour tho.

Iv tried giving her antihistimines and oatmeal baths but shes had wee lumps all over her body this week as its been soooo hot and grass has been cut all over the place.

Pink seems to be heading into the uber-sensitive and reactive skin thing too. As soon as I can work out which plant amongst the hay meadow set her off I will keep her clear of it in future. For now I am not letting her in long grass or recently cut longer grass.

She is on a 'steroid taper' from the vet at the moment aimmed at getting her allergic reaction damped right down as the vet thinks the heat this week as just added to her woes.

We find various things work: apple cider vinegar/water solution sprayed onto the fur; antihistamines; being paranoid about wiping them down and just trying to keep them in the shade and cool when it's unbearably hot.

A good wipe down helps and if you can find a place to exercise that doesn't aggrevate teh condition thats all the better
