recomendations for 5 month staff diet .
hi,our little lady has been on a dry food diet since weve had her from seven weeks . shes suddenly turning her nose up at her meals, even though we give her different flavours weekly, but were thinking of changing her food, and introducing a few home made treats once a week to build her up . she was tiny only 2.8 kilos at her first vet weigh in, and was checked last week and weighed in at 9.5 kilos, so yes shes growing, but people comment on how small she is , and would like to see her beef up a little x shes been eating the james wellbeloved puppy food, the vet recommended, and ive looked at the dry foods advertised on here. but not seen many of these brands in our pets at home shop . I am aware we can by these online, but would like to know what other owners are feeding their pups on x im going to have a look at the homemade treats on here, but obviously dont want to overload her young tum, with too many different foods x any suggestions wouyld be great , thankyou x

Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
The James Welbeloved is a good quality food and would be recommended by users of this forum. Rocky used to have this until we changed to Barking Heads.

Hiya from me and Vinnie, I dont feed complete dried so not much help, you could try a little sardines or scrambled egg (no milk) on top just to tempt her. If you decide to change then gradually over 2 weeks to avoid any tummy problems

You could try Wainwrights kibble. This is James Wellbeloved brand for Pets At Home. You could also try mixing Wainwrights wet food (in trays, not tins) with her kibble. We give this to Meg and she loves it. We also give her Sardines or Mackerel once a week, which is tinned and in Sunflower oil.

How old is your pup at the moment? I have usually only fed Meg twice a day (breakfast and tea time), sometimes she will not eat her breakfast. Maybe she's watching her figure?
Make sure she is wormed regularly too.

Re: recomendations for 5 month staff diet .
Hi again, she's 5 half months, she woofs down breakfast, lunch and tea since we've introduced the wet pouches on top of her dry, last night, she kept hanging around her bowl and looking at me with her big brown eyes, as if to say, I'm starved lol,so gave her fourth meal, and gone in seconds x she's quite small we think anyway, and our vet says she's quite greedy x will be changing her food to junior soon x I'm with pet plan,so she's wormed and flea every four weeks xxx
