Re: Itching tips.
Do you have any Aqueous cream to dab on, this may not dry the skin out so much as the sudocream and give it chance to heal ?

Re: Itching tips.
if you think it's allergies you could try anthisan it's a antihistamine cream, Darcy still suffer with allergies despite being fed raw, I use anthisan when things flare up

Re: Itching tips.
Even though you feed raw, they can still be allergic to certain meats so look into that too. Marquez is definitely allergic to chicken and egg and scratches more as well as getting weepy/teary eyes. Fortunately no hives like my other dogs that were allergic to chicken.
MSM Soothing Cream may help as well as coconut oil.

Re: Itching tips.
Hi, I don't have any off the stuff you lot have mentioned but I will buy them to try. She's 4 months old and she's always had a bit off an itch but just the past couple off weeks it's gotten worse. Not sure if I should keep trying piriton as I think this caused her to have the runs this morning.

Re: Itching tips.
She's a little beauty Staffies can be prone to dry flaky skin, I used Olive Oil Cream (Kingsley House brand) on Meg, which is for sensitive skin and is also fragrance free, i.e. no perfume in it. I found this helped. I also gave her an oily fish like sardines in sunflower oil once a week and when she was on wet food and kibble I also put a little sunflower oil on her kibbles too. I read that this would help with her coat and skin. I know that you are feeding her raw, but it wasn't for Meg as she wouldn't entertain it in any way. Maybe you could try this, it shouldn't cause her any harm.

Re: Itching tips.
Hi daz,I already feed her whole sardines but I will defo try the sunflower oil. I think her skin isn't actually flakey but her hair looks and feels dry.
She doesn't just itch her belly she kinda like nibbles it too.

Re: Itching tips.
Hey over the past week I changed her food to a fish food, started her 3 days ago on coconut oil and already her itching has nearly stopped, her neck has stopped bleeding and the scabs are almost gone. Can changing food act so fast or maybe this is a coincidence? I'm so happy either way

Re: Itching tips.
Actually it could defo be my work gear that's causing it as I also work with acid that I put into big machines to get the PH levels correct and it gets on my clothes everyday lol
