Stag bars, how old before we give one?

Hi,
We were under the impression that stag bars were for older dogs, however, the more I read, the more it seems that people give them to pups without ill effects. Is 11 weeks too young?

I cant say for sure but personally I wouldnt until teeth are stronger. They really do go at them and could do some damage at such an early age. Plus still baby teeth I would wait until adult teeth are through, and then only limited time on it xx

I'm not sure there's an age limit as such. I've been giving my pup his since he was 5mths, he loves them! I do watch him tho as sometimes he gets too carried away.

Thanks, we did think she was too young and I think I have posted a reply advising against giving pups hard chews. But we have read quite a few posts by people giving their young dogs them we thought we would seek opinions.

Millies had them since 5 6 months so i would say wait until then

We waited until Bane had all or most of his big teeth and then only let him have a munch on it for a few minutes at a time They are tough things and have been told of dogs breaking their teeth on them.

Thanks everyone. We'll definitely wait until the razors have fallen out before she gets anything like that. We got Floyd (our last Stafford) a stag bar but he wasn't bothered with it.
